Air Travel to Spain
If you are flying internationally, you will most likely fly into one of the main international airports shown on the map.If you are flying to Spain from another European country, there are many airlines that fly to various airports in Spain, including many low fare airlines that fly to the most popular Spanish destinations. If you are flying to Spain from the US, Canada or South and Central America, you will most likely fly into Spain via Madrid. If you are flying to Spain from Asia, Thai Airways has an excellent service that flies directly to Madrid from Thailand. I've flown this route with Thai Airways a few times now and highly recommend them. Singapore Airlines flies directly to Barcelona from Singapore. (I'll be flying this route for the first time in May 2010, so will let you know how it goes - however, I've only ever heard good things about Singapore Airlines). With any other carrier from Asia, you will more than likely have to fly to another European city, for example, London or Frankfurt and transfer there for your flight to Spain (which is a pain, I know, as I’ve done it many times, but well worth it I can promise you when you eventually arrive in Spain!).
