Costa del Sol Weather
The Best in Spain!
The Costa del Sol weather is synonymous of its name. Costa del Sol, in the South of Spain, literally means “Sunshine Coast” in English and with an average of 11 hours of sunshine per day in summer it’s easy to see why!
Of all of Spain, the climate in Costa del Sol has to be the best in Spain. It’s not surprising that visitors (myself included) are attracted to this beautiful part of the country. Although the Costa del Sol does have 4 seasons, the winters tend to be quite mild with average low temperatures rarely reaching below 7 Degrees Celsius. And because the Costa del Sol is fringed by the beautiful Mediterranean sea, the cooling see breeze means temperatures in summer are kept to a level that’s bearable ... although the sea is also handy for those refreshing dips if the heat ever does get too unbearable! The Costa del Sol weather is in fact ideal ... not too hot in summer and not too cold in winter ... unlike some other inland towns and cities in the south of Spain that don’t get the Mediterranean breezes where temperatures in the summer regularly reach above 40 Degrees Celsius and in winter can reach almost zero!
