Burriana Beach Nerja
Burriana Beach Nerja is the most popular and busiest beach in Nerja. It's no wonder with the list of activities that are on offer! From relaxing on a sun lounger under a palm fringed umbrella to parasailing, kayaking, jet-skiing and scuba diving ... you are sure to find something that the whole family will enjoy.

Burriana is the furthest beach east of all of the Nerja beaches and is almost 2 kilometres long. An ideal spot for those long leisurely strolls along the sand.

There is so much on offer in Burriana. You can hire a kayak or a paddle boat, which the kids will love!

For the grown-ups with a "need for speed", jet-skis are also available for hire.If you have a head for heights, why not try parasailing, which involves being towed behind a boat while attached to a special kind of parachute known as a parasail. This is my sister and nephew having a go ...

Where am I? I hear you you ask ... well, someone had to stay in the safety of the boat and take the photo!Parasailing operates during the summer months only and the booth can be found on the eastern side of the beach.
If you are a certified scuba-diver, Buceo Costa Nerja located on the promenade offer a variety of dive options. They also offer full PADI courses if you're interested in learning to dive in the warm mediterranean waters of Spain. Check out their website for more information

If rest and relaxation is more your thing, there are a number of sun loungers and umbrellas for hire along Burriana.

The best thing, I think, about this beach is that most of the sun loungers that are available for hire also come with a bar service .... so you can order food and drink from the comfort of your lounger!
Burriana Beach Nerja has excellent facilities such as toilets, showers and changing rooms.
It is also patrolled by life-guards and the Red Cross.
Along the promenade you will find a number of beach restaurants, ice-cream parlours, smoothie shops, bars and shops selling an array of products and everything you'll need for the beach.

Believe me, you won't go hungry or thirsty on Burriana Beach Nerja.

Getting to Burriana Beach Nerja
There are a number of ways to access Burriana Beach Nerja.
If you're driving, turn right off the 340 National Road (if you were driving out of town towards Motrir) onto Calle Filipinas and follow this road all the way down to the end until to get to the coast.
You can also walk down Calle Filipinas if you prefer to leave your car at home. It's quite a long and steep walk down to Burriana which is OK on the way down but not quite as good to walk back up!
Alternatively, If you're walking from the centre of town, follow Calle Los Huertos in an easterly direction, until you get to a small roundabout at the end.
Go straight across the roundabout onto Calle Almunecar. You will pass by the front of the Hotel Parador de Nerja.
Continue straight and you'll get to a lane way that's pedestrian access only. Keep walking another 2-3 minutes and the lane way will veer to the right all the way down to Burriana beach.
This is the view of Burriana from the top of the lane way.

The third way to access Burriana on foot is from the neighbouring beach of
Carabeillo Beach.
Just walk in an easterly direction from
Carabeillo beach
and you'll end up at Burriana Beach Nerja.
