La Caletilla Beach in Nerja

Looking for an andalusia beach that´s more than just sand and sea?

La Caletilla beach, on the western side of the Nerja Balcon de Europa is a beautiful beach set in a enviable location.

However, the beach is not a private beach for hotel guests only ... it's a public beach for all to use.

If you want to enjoy a relaxing day at the beach combined with a nice lunch at a good restaurant, this is the beach for you.

There are 2 good restaurants right next to this beach, El Nautico and the restaurant in the Hotel Balcon de Europa.

You can also hire sun loungers and umbrellas here too.

Getting There

Just before you get to the Balcon de Europa, to the eastern side, you'll see a small archway called "Boquete de Calahonda".

Go through this archway and start descending down.

Do not veer off to the left, as this will take you to Calahonda beach.

Keep going straight and the pathway will eventually veer towards the right and will curve around the rocks that form the Balcon de Europa.

At the end of the pathway, you'll be at the beach.

Of course, if you are lucky enough to be staying at the Balcon de Europa Hotel, you can access this beach directly from the hotel.
