My name is Susana.

This is me in the photo with ny nephew just before taking a horse and carriage ride around Nerja during a recent holiday.

My love affair with Nerja started as a 16 year old when my family and I first visited the area. You see, my mother was born in the neighbouring village of Frigiliana and as a teenager we visited the area to discover our roots.

That was 20 years ago.

I’ve been a regular visitor every since and more so since my parents moved to Nerja a few years ago.

We have also discovered that some of the locals are in fact long lost relatives which has been a great way of really getting to know the local customs and experiencing the “true” Nerja!

Having lived and worked in Barcelona for 6 years I’ve been fortunate enough to have explored much of Spain’s diverse regions, cities and coastline during weekends and holidays, ... but I always seemed to return to Nerja, the quaint white-washed village, full of Andalucian charm.

I’m so passionate about this little town I decided to set up this website to share all of it’s hidden treasures with you.

I’m delighted that you have discovered this site and whether you are a first time visitor to Spain or a regular visitor I hope you enjoy discovering Nerja as much as I have.
